Copyright
Copyright is the legal right to a piece of work that you make whether it be a poem, book, song and so on. Copyright lasts the whole duration of the artists life and then 70 years after in the United Kingdom and United States, however certain things such as photographs only have copyright over them for 25 years.

Trademark
A trademark is a signature or a recognizable symbol/design which represents or identifies a company.A trademark doesn't necessarily belong to a business organization, it could also be a single individual if they designed themselves. In business companies for example you will that there trademark will be on everything (all the products)

Intellectual property
Intellectual property covers the side of plagiarism. Plagiarism is when you take somebody else work and pass it off or claim it to be your own. An example of this could be downloading songs of the internet and sharing them with others on the website.

Brochure

You need to use the file type JPEG, this is when you save a presentation of sort and all the slides will save as individual images, meaning when it is printed it could fit the size of a brochure.

The graphic type for a brochure could either be vector or bitmap , this all depends on what images you are using because if you are using a larger image the a vector would be what you want to use but if it is smaller then you will want to use a bitmap.

A vector graphic can be edited and make up the images with a line and dot on a curve, this allows the image to be enlarged without pixelating. A bitmap image contains tons of little squares of colour which create an image, if this picture gets enlarged then the squares become more visible because it starts to pixelate.

You do this by going to save as and selecting a folder to save it in and before you save there is a box with an arrow just above where it says save, click the arrow then click where it says JPEG, once clicked press save and it will save all as individual images.

Website

For a website you are going to want to use a PNG, this is a portable network graphic. For a website you would use a bitmap image because for a website you wouldn't want to use a very large image. So using a bitmap image would be best because the images would be much smaller and work well with the website.

A PNG’s main feature is that it can save graphic images by reducing the file size without affecting the image quality. It was originally created to replace the GIF format which had patenting issues, but both are still used widely on all sorts of websites.

Vehicle

For the school vehicles you will want to get the vector image by using illustrator. On the side of the vehicle the images are rather large so in order to get a clean image which isn’t  pixelated you would have to use a vector image graphic type, this is because in a vector image the picture does not pixelate when you enlarge the image meaning the picture could be made bigger for the side of the vehicle.

Illustrator is a full-featured drawing programme for Windows and iMac from adobe. It provides sophisticated tracing and text manipulation capabilities as well as colour separations. This is good for vector images as it allows you to separate different drawings but still be on one image.

Computer monitors allow you to see everything on the computer. Everything visual is associated with the computer monitor. The monitors can come in HD therefore producing a great image. However a monitor of great quality comes at a large price. The computer monitor may also not be compatible with all computer systems.
A digital camera is a basic hardware input which can be used by a graphics designer.

The main limitation of a digital camera is that the price of a high quality camera is very high. Another disadvantage of a digital camera is that a hard disk failure can result in photos being lost because they were not backed up or printed.

Scanners are easy to use and they allow you to scan any image you want onto a piece of paper and then you can see them on your monitor. This means that you can edit them or use them for designs etc. The limitations of this are that they can be very expensive and some are only compatible with certain sizes of paper e.g. A4. Scanner maintenance can be relatively expensive, when owning a scanner you will have to replace many parts of it on a regular basis.

A limitation for a graphics tablet is that they are also very expensive for a good quality and it also may be difficult to find a graphics tablet at a large enough size for a reasonable price.
Graphics tablets are much slower than drawing with pencil onto paper, however have their benefits. They can also be awkward to use properly. Larger designs for example A4 can be very expensive.

The limitations of a printer is that some printers can only print out on a specific paper size for example A4, therefore to have a printer that can print on various paper sizes, it will be very expensive. There will also be further payments for purchasing paper for the printer. Ink can also be costly because it can be rapidly used up.

The limitations of a projector are that they can be very expensive and will require a whiteboard to project onto, therefore further costs. Also you will need space on your wall to fit the whiteboard. To use a printer successfully you will need to use it in a dark room to get a good picture. They can also be very difficult to install which is time consuming.

A vinyl cutter is a great hardware output to have because you can control the machine from your computer making them easy to use, dictating the movement of the sharp blade as you desire. This is a great thing to have as it allows you to cut out your designs when making signs banners etc, a vinyl cutter is required. However like many hardware, a good vinyl cutter is going to be very expensive, also depending on the size will also dictate the price.

The main issue with file storage devices is that depending on how much work you are doing, you will require a higher memory file storage device, and the memory that a file storage device has is directly proportional to the price.

The only limitations are that Photoshop are that it can be difficult to use and it is very expensive to purchase and install. The android and IOS version of Photoshop does not have as many features, also images can become pixelated and lower quality when expanding them.

Adobe illustrator just like most software is very expensive to purchase and install, and will also require time to work out how to use it properly. It may also require watching tutorials before attempting to use it due to having a high level of difficulty to master it. You must have a lot of patience to create a high quality design.

The limitations of serif are the same as for Photoshop and Illustrator, utilizing the software requires time and education, and also a lot of money to purchase.

To improve my system I could upgrade my graphics card to Asus AMD Radeon R9 270 975MHz 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 HDMI Direct CU II OC, this would allow my computer to have a higher graphics score when next tested, also it would allow games to be played at more framer per second. To also improve my system I could buy more RAM, this would allow my computer to run at higher speeds with more programmes open at once. I could also install the Intel Core i7-3960X 3.30GHz to allow the computer to run much smother with multiple tabs open.

The results for the Mac Mini are a lot worse compared to the Windows 7 home premium because the RAM, Graphics card and hardware are worse than the Windows 7 home premium. The mac mini’s RAM speed 2203 MB/s which is meek in the comparison of the windows 7 home premium which is 12680 MB/s which is huge. The graphics test scored 18, which is 44 3D framed per second, on the other hand the Windows 7 home premium scored 775 which is 2054 3D Frames Per Second. This is huge in scale compared to Mac mini, all these stats show that the Windows 7 Home Premium is the better system and is better system to use. The CPU score for the mac mini is 145 this is an average score, were as the Windows 7 Home Premium has a CPU score of 486 which is above average and makes the computer run at faster speeds. The Mac Minis hardware Tests scored 12, this is another average score, the Primary Partition Capacity is 371 GB and the Drive Write Speed is 33 MB/s, these scores are not the best but the computer is still usable with such results. The Windows 7 Home Premium has a Hardware score of 49 which is above average, the Primary Partition Capacity is  443 GB and the Drive Write Speed is 181 MB/s, these scores are brilliant and will allow the computer run smooth with many programs open.
