Computer monitors allow you to see everything on the computer. Everything visual is associated with the computer monitor. The monitors can come in HD therefore producing a great image. However a monitor of great quality comes at a large price. The computer monitor may also not be compatible with all computer systems.
A digital camera is a basic hardware input which can be used by a graphics designer.

The main limitation of a digital camera is that the price of a high quality camera is very high. Another disadvantage of a digital camera is that a hard disk failure can result in photos being lost because they were not backed up or printed.

Scanners are easy to use and they allow you to scan any image you want onto a piece of paper and then you can see them on your monitor. This means that you can edit them or use them for designs etc. The limitations of this are that they can be very expensive and some are only compatible with certain sizes of paper e.g. A4. Scanner maintenance can be relatively expensive, when owning a scanner you will have to replace many parts of it on a regular basis.

A limitation for a graphics tablet is that they are also very expensive for a good quality and it also may be difficult to find a graphics tablet at a large enough size for a reasonable price.
Graphics tablets are much slower than drawing with pencil onto paper, however have their benefits. They can also be awkward to use properly. Larger designs for example A4 can be very expensive.

The limitations of a printer is that some printers can only print out on a specific paper size for example A4, therefore to have a printer that can print on various paper sizes, it will be very expensive. There will also be further payments for purchasing paper for the printer. Ink can also be costly because it can be rapidly used up.

The limitations of a projector are that they can be very expensive and will require a whiteboard to project onto, therefore further costs. Also you will need space on your wall to fit the whiteboard. To use a printer successfully you will need to use it in a dark room to get a good picture. They can also be very difficult to install which is time consuming.

A vinyl cutter is a great hardware output to have because you can control the machine from your computer making them easy to use, dictating the movement of the sharp blade as you desire. This is a great thing to have as it allows you to cut out your designs when making signs banners etc, a vinyl cutter is required. However like many hardware, a good vinyl cutter is going to be very expensive, also depending on the size will also dictate the price.

The main issue with file storage devices is that depending on how much work you are doing, you will require a higher memory file storage device, and the memory that a file storage device has is directly proportional to the price.

The only limitations are that Photoshop are that it can be difficult to use and it is very expensive to purchase and install. The android and IOS version of Photoshop does not have as many features, also images can become pixelated and lower quality when expanding them.

Adobe illustrator just like most software is very expensive to purchase and install, and will also require time to work out how to use it properly. It may also require watching tutorials before attempting to use it due to having a high level of difficulty to master it. You must have a lot of patience to create a high quality design.

The limitations of serif are the same as for Photoshop and Illustrator, utilizing the software requires time and education, and also a lot of money to purchase.

To improve my system I could upgrade my graphics card to Asus AMD Radeon R9 270 975MHz 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 HDMI Direct CU II OC, this would allow my computer to have a higher graphics score when next tested, also it would allow games to be played at more framer per second. To also improve my system I could buy more RAM, this would allow my computer to run at higher speeds with more programmes open at once. I could also install the Intel Core i7-3960X 3.30GHz to allow the computer to run much smother with multiple tabs open.

The results for the Mac Mini are a lot worse compared to the Windows 7 home premium because the RAM, Graphics card and hardware are worse than the Windows 7 home premium. The mac mini’s RAM speed 2203 MB/s which is meek in the comparison of the windows 7 home premium which is 12680 MB/s which is huge. The graphics test scored 18, which is 44 3D framed per second, on the other hand the Windows 7 home premium scored 775 which is 2054 3D Frames Per Second. This is huge in scale compared to Mac mini, all these stats show that the Windows 7 Home Premium is the better system and is better system to use. The CPU score for the mac mini is 145 this is an average score, were as the Windows 7 Home Premium has a CPU score of 486 which is above average and makes the computer run at faster speeds. The Mac Minis hardware Tests scored 12, this is another average score, the Primary Partition Capacity is 371 GB and the Drive Write Speed is 33 MB/s, these scores are not the best but the computer is still usable with such results. The Windows 7 Home Premium has a Hardware score of 49 which is above average, the Primary Partition Capacity is  443 GB and the Drive Write Speed is 181 MB/s, these scores are brilliant and will allow the computer run smooth with many programs open.

Alternative Computer system:

Windows 8 pc brings significant advantages to those who are upgrading existing PCs or purchasing new ones, thanks to features that better take advantage of the new OS's capabilities. The operating system offers improvements in performance, existing capabilities, and is cheaper. In a comparison with Mac OS X Mountain Lion, running in Boot Camp on a MacBook, Windows 8 even started up faster than Apple's latest desktop operating system. And it's not just startup time: Windows 8 ran several benchmark performance tests quicker than either Windows 7 or Mountain Lion. Microsoft has clearly put work into improving performance in Windows 8. windows also has SkyDrive which is accessible to any app that wants to use it, just as though it were a local drive. It also backs up your PC's settings, letting you replicate your environment.

software:

Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (the latter ousting QuarkXPress as the creative's layout tool of choice in the early 2000s) have always been the software applications graphic designers rely on to convert their ideas and concepts into projects for themselves or clients.
The latest versions of these apps can no longer be purchased in a box, you'll need to take out either a single software subscription (£17.58 per month per app) or (and this is much better value) a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud costing £46.88 per month.
With the latter you'll be able to download not only Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign but also every single one of Adobe's creative tools. The mac also contains quick look, which allows you to view -almost instantly- preview huge Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

Hardware:

You will require a large monitor to in order to see the image youre editing in greater detail, you will need printers, scanner etc. Such as the ACER Aspire TC-605 Desktop PC (£800),
the HP Designjet Z3200ps GP 24" Printer (£2,939) because the printer will allow you to print large images in great detail, as this printer contains spectrophotometer to enable easy calibration and profiling, minimise bronzing on most glossy photo papers with HP Gloss Enhancer and the embedded spectrophotometer which helps you generate custom ICC profiles. The Vinyl Cutter Plotter / 28 inch Cutting Plotter Printer Sign Maker & SignCut Pro (£220) is also important as this would enable you to computer control the machine. Small vinyl cutters look like computer printers. The computer controls the movement of a sharp blade. This blade is used to cut out shapes and letters from sheets of thin self-adhesive plastic (vinyl). A Plustek OpticPro A320 - 1600 dpi x 1600 dpi - Flatbed scanner would also be useful as the scanning device can scan an A3 size document with high quality - resolution as high as 1600 dpi and scanning area as large as 12" x 17" (304.8 mm x 431.8 mm) - in just 11.2 seconds.
